The silhouette of Govan Town Hall,built a few hundred yards from the once famous Govan dry docks.Govan of course was famous for its shipyards the first of which were built in the 1840s,the town hall which was built in 1901 to a fairly grand design for a Burgh shows the wealth and optimism that must have prevailed in the area the time.
The architects were Thomson and Sandilands.
