Renfrew
Renfrew 5 Jan 2014 another high tide combined with torrential rain threatens to flood the area; fortunately the council workers who were on standby with sandbags were not required.
It was interesting to note that ferry continued to sail, considering the amount of debris which was floating by I’m surprised it didn’t cancel, compared to the previous ferry this small boat looks particularly unsafe at the best of times.

Ferry Green
On an open space of ground beside the Renfrew ferry is the preserved engine made in Robert Napiers Lancefield works for the paddle tug Clyde which was built for the Clyde Navigation Trust by AJ Inglis at Pointhouse in 1851.
