Iridescent Clouds

Seen over Gourock Cloud iridescence is the occurrence of colors in a cloud similar to those seen in oil films on puddles, and is similar to irisation. It is a fairly uncommon phenomenon, most often observed in altocumulus, cirrocumulus, lenticular clouds and cirrus clouds.

Tornado ,Isle of Arran

While at Ardrossan Harbour to catch the ferry to Brodick on the Isle of Arran I spotted this tornado ,the light house in the picture is on the Holy Isle.

When the ferry arrived at Brodick the weather was foul with a torrential downpour,if you look at the middle of the third photograph you will see what looks like the remnants of the tornado or water spout.
