MV Glen Sanox

Glen Sanox, the new Caledonian MacBrayne ferry being built at Ferguson's ship yard in Port Glasgow.
The ship is now about fourteen months late, the shipyard and ferry operator have been accusing each other for the delays, Ferguson's claim design changes are to blame.
The ship on the slipway is the second ferry for CalMac, same design as the first minus the mistakes made in building the Glenn Sanox hopefully, its already two years late.

Inchgreen Drydock

Inchgreen dry dock opened in 1964,known as the" Big Dock"it was hoped that it would bring a lot of new business to Greenock, however by 1967 the company that ran the dock went into liquidation .

The dock has had a chequered history and its fair to say that it never filled its full potential, the dock is now owned by Clydeport, they apparently want to fill the dock in and build houses .

Just up the road at Ferguson's Marine Port Glasgow the shipyard has expanded and completely rebuilt its yard, the owner has shown interest in using the dry dock at Inchgreen,

Sadly the cranes have now been demolished.
