Supremity

I took this sequence of photographs on a rather misty cold February morning,Supremity has just passed Clydeport container terminal and is maneuvering herself in to the shipping lane which will take her up to Rothsey Dock in Glasgow.

RFA Lyme Bay.

Although built by Swan Hunter at Wallsend on the Tyne the ship was brought to the Clyde to be fitted out at the BAE yard in Govan, the minsty of defence took this unusual step because of delays at the Swan hunter yard.

Job done Ormesby cross heads for home.
This is Lyme Bay in the Govan dock July 2006
I took this picture in the Govan ship yard,in the background is Dauntless which had been launched about half an hour before I took this photograph.
