The Gareloch in the Firth of Clyde is home to HM Naval Base Clyde,it is home to the United Kingdom's strategic nuclear deterrent and the headquarters of the Royal Navy in Scotland.The submarines are a familiar sight on the Clyde,nearly always escorted by RMAS tugs , miliatry police and Royal Marines!
