MV Loch Striven

 The lighthouse faces the east coast of the Isle of Arran at the south entrance of Lamlash Baywas and was built in 1877 by David and Thomas Stevenson.

The lighthouse was fully automated in 1977.

RV Prince Madog

The Prince Madog is a state-of-the-art, purpose-built research vessel commissioned by Bangor University using a £3.5 million Joint Infrastructure Fund grant. The vessel is managed and operated by O.S.Energy, delivered and in service since July 2001.

The Prince Madog enables the UK's marine scientists to study the biology, chemistry, geology and physics of our seas. Designed to take up to ten scientists and 20 students. The School of Ocean Sciences, Bangor and other university departments in the UK also use the vessel as a teaching platform, training the next generation of marine scientists.

 VOS Provider is an offshore supply vessel registered in the United Kingdom, built in 1999, and currently operates under the flag of the UK.

The City of Glasgow College

 The City of Glasgow College's Faculty of Nautical and STEM offers a wide range of maritime, engineering, and technology courses, including cadetships and short courses for professional development. The faculty, which has roots in the former Glasgow College of Nautical Studies, provides training approved by bodies like the MCA and RYA, and works with industry partners like Clyde Marine Training. Courses cover subjects from Nautical Science and Deck and Engineering to areas like Cyber Security and high-voltage electrical systems.

SAAC MCKINNON (IMO 9364100) is a /Well boat ship built in 2006 and is sailing under the flag of Norway. She has an overall length (LOA) of 57 meters and a width (beam) of 12 meters. Her summer deadweight capacity is 1,250 tonnes.
