HNLMS De Zeven Provinciën (F802)




 HNLMS De Zeven Provinciën (F802) is the first ship of the De Zeven Provinciën-class air defence and command frigates in service with the Royal Netherlands Navy (RNLN).

Barclay Curle Crane Glasgow


The Barclay Curle Crane is a disused Titan or giant cantilever crane at the former Barclay Curle shipyard at Whiteinch, Glasgow, Scotland.
It was built by Sir William Arrol & Co. in 1920.
It is category A listed, and one of four such cranes remaining on the River Clyde.

Custom House


 Greenock Custom House was built in 1818 it was designed by Scottish architect William Burn (1789-1870) at a cost of £30,000.  It it situated at Custom House Quay, or Steamboat Quay as it was once called. 

The building is very grand and powerful looking with its Doric columns, Greenock was at the time a very important and grand town.

Robert Burns worked in the Custom House for a period.
