Maersk Boston









Maersk Boston,after almost a year tied up with other Maersk ships in loch Striven she was removed from the raft to the tail of the bank were she will be readied for duties again.

Ascog Hall












Ascog Hall and Victorian Fernery on the Isle of Bute.

The hall was built in 1856 by Rev James Monteith ,the building fell into disrepair after the second world war along with the gardens.

The gardens and the house were bought in 1986 and was extensively restored.

A beautiful and most relaxing place well worth a visit if you happen to visit Rothesay.

Fog Gun






The remains of a fog gun off the coat of Rosneath,not sure when it was dismantled ,it now houses a light signal.

The signal was created by the automatic explosion of acetylene gas within the guns, which were under the control of the Gourock Pilots
