The remains of a fog gun off the coat of Rosneath,not sure when it was dismantled ,it now houses a light signal.
The signal was created by the automatic explosion of acetylene gas within the guns, which were under the control of the Gourock Pilots

Westward Ho
The paddle steamer Westward Ho seen here at the Avon Gorge.She was built at Ayr in 1894 for the White Funnel Fleet of Bristol.
SD Dexterous fire
On Wednesday the 12th of May SD Dexterous suffered a fire in her engine room, apparently not that bad and with no injuries to the crew.The fire was put out with the on board CO2 drench system but the assistance of two other tugs was required to continue with boundary cooling,the tug was taken to James Watt Dock for investigation by the various authorities.
