HMCS Montréal FFH336

HMCS Montréal (FFH 336) is a Halifax-class frigate that has served in the Canadian Forces since 1993.

Montréal is the seventh ship in her class which is based on the Canadian Patrol Frigate Project. She is the second vessel to carry the designation HMCS Montreal.

Montréal was laid down on 8 February 1991 at Saint John Shipbuilding Ltd., Saint John and launched on 28 February 1992. She was officially commissioned into the CF on 29 September 1993 and carries the pennant number 336.

She is assigned to Maritime Forces Atlantic (MARLANT) and is homeported at CFB Halifax.

She is seen here at the James Watt Dock,having been in dry dock for maintenance.

Maersk Lay up ships

Due to the global recession Maersk have laid up some of their ships until business picks up again.These are currently in Loch Striven.

Maersk Beaumont and Sealand Performance are among the ships that I could identify.
