HMS Somerset F82

 HMS Somerset is a Type 23 frigate of the Royal Navy. She is the eleventh ship of the class to join the fleet since 1989. She was built by Yarrow Shipbuilders Ltd on the River Clyde, in Scotland and was launched in June 1994 by Lady Elspeth Layard, wife of then 2nd Sea Lord Admiral and Commander-in-Chief Naval Home Command Admiral Sir Michael Layard. She entered service in 1996. 

The ship was photographed at Faslane on the Gare Loch.

 French navy ship Primauguet D644.

Primauguet is a F70 type anti-submarine frigate of the French Marine Nationale. She is the sixth French vessel named after the 15th century captain Hervé de Portzmoguer. She is one of the six anti-submarine frigate made in the same model, as the french frigate Latouche-Tréville[

MV Glen Sannox


 The ill fated Glen Sannox at Fergusons ship yard in Port Glasgow,years overdue and riddled with design problems,CalMac blame the ship yard who in return blame Ferguson's.

She has now been moved to the dry dock at James Watt Dock.

HDMS Triton



HDMS Triton is a Thetis-class frigate belonging to the Royal Danish Navy. It is being used to exercise the Danish sovereignty over the waters around Greenland and the Faroe Islands.

Lara 1










The trawler Argo K was transported to Dales Marine’s yard at Garvel in Greenock by crane barge Lara 1.

The fishing boat sank at a trawler dock near Drogheda at the end of April.
