HEBRIDEAN PRINCESS

HM The Queen has chartered the tiny cruise ship, HEBRIDEAN PRINCESS for two weeks, forcing the cancellation of bookings made by other passengers.

The Queen has spent 300,000 GBP for a fortnight's sailings starting in late July 2010
apparently sixty passengers who had booked for this period have been offered alternatives.

All Leisure Group, who now owns the vessel, said that they could not divulge who the charter is for.

The HEBRIDEAN PRINCESS is a familiar sight in Scottish coastal waters, and was once a MacBrayne's car ferry, before being converted for her current role.

The Queen has chartered the cruise ship once before.
