TS Queen Mary



TS Queen Mary returns to the Clyde after departing in 1981 to become a floating restaurant in London,in recent years she has been lying derelict at Tilbury docks.

In 2012 a charitable group, Friends of the TS Queen Mary, was formed with the goal of returning the ship to a permanent berth in Glasgow, Scotland.

PS Waverley



During World War II, mine watchers posts were built along the banks of the Clyde from Greenock to Glasgow, many of them still remain in various states of repair.
The posts usually have the same deign, undressed brick with a concrete slab on the roof, a narrow aperture allowing a view of the river.
This particular post is at Steamboat Quay Port Glasgow.

HMS Ambush

HMS Ambush is an Astute-class nuclear fleet submarine of the Royal Navy, the second boat of her class, and is currently on sea trials.
She is seen here off the coast at Gourock and is being escorted by SD Resourceful and SD Dependable.

MS Queen Elizabeth is a Signature class cruise ship operated by the Cunard Line. She is the second largest ship to be constructed for Cunard, exceeded only by the Queen Mary 2, and is capable of carrying up to 2,092 passengers. The ship is running mate to the Queen Victoria and the Queen Mary 2.

She is seen here passing Greenock and Gourock.

FGS RHEINLAND-PFALZ F209





The frigate Rheinland-Pfalz is the third ship called a missile frigate class of warships of the German Navy .

The ships of the class F122 were the first German warship with a combined diesel- gas turbine engine , as opposed to the previously used steam turbine drive.

USS Forrest Sherman (DDG-98)




USS Forrest Sherman (DDG-98) is an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer in the United States Navy. She is named for Admiral Forrest Percival Sherman, and is the second US Navy ship to bear the name. She is part of Destroyer Squadron 28.

Coastal Isle

Coastal Isle a three thousand tonne cargo ship grounded at Garroch head at the south end of Bute on Monday the 2nd of July. She was freed by the Svitzer tug Anglegarth and proceeded to Greenock under her own power.

It was revealed at a later court case that the master of the ship had fallen asleep.

Glasgow Tower is a free-standing tower located on the south bank of the River Clyde in Glasgow, Scotland and forms part of Glasgow Science Centre complex. It holds a Guinness World Record for being the tallest tower in the world in which the whole structure is capable of rotating 360 degrees.

Overall the structure has been a total disaster,as it has never worked properly since its opening,it has been unused for a number of years.
