Waverley



 Waverley at Greenock with the magnificent custom house .Completed in 1818 it was designed by Scottish architect William Burn (1789-1870) at a cost of £30,000.  It it situated at Custom House Quay, or Steamboat Quay as it was once called.

Akula Motor Yacht







 Akula is a motor yacht with an overall length of 59.4 m. The yacht's builder is Rossinavi from Italy, who launched Akula in 2024. The superyacht has a beam of 11.3 m, a draught of 3.45 m and a volume of 1,241 GT.

Akula features exterior design by Gian Paolo Nari and interior design by FM Architettura, with naval architecture by Arrabito Naval Architects.

Up to 10 guests can be accommodated on board the superyacht, Akula, and she also has accommodation for 13 crew members, including the ship's captain. Akula has a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure. She is powered by 2 Caterpillar Inc engines, which give her a top speed of 15.5 kn.

I photographed her at Oban,she was anchored just off  the Isle of Kerrera.
