Tornado ,Isle of Arran

While at Ardrossan Harbour to catch the ferry to Brodick on the Isle of Arran I spotted this tornado ,the light house in the picture is on the Holy Isle.

When the ferry arrived at Brodick the weather was foul with a torrential downpour,if you look at the middle of the third photograph you will see what looks like the remnants of the tornado or water spout.

Amazing to see this tornado! A pity you had such horrible weather. We had a very disappointing day on Arran in the rain last year. Apart from spending money in cafes there was little we could do. I've already decided I'd like to go there for my birthday next August so we'll hope for some sun for a change!

Never had much luck in Arran myself Jane, her splendour always seems to remain hidden under a shroud of cloud when I go over!
