Lord of the Glens



Built in 1988 she was originally a Greek cruiser,she was lengthened in 2000.She is able to accommodate 54 passengers .Normally opperates from Oban ,but appears to have added the Clyde to her schedule.

Castle Toward


As you pass Toward Lighthouse on the way to Rothesay by ferry,you will see this large mansion house,it was built in 1832 by the famous Glasgow architect David Hamilton.
Built for the Glasgow lord Provost Kirkman Finlay,its now an out door activity centre.

Mornes


On the 11 March 2009,the Mornes was involved in an accident at Hunterson on the Clyde,her bow being damaged she made her way to King George V dock in Glasgow for repairs.

Aberdovey




Aberdovey is a former MOD fleet tender,seen here in the Gareloch.

She was built in 1963 by Isaac Pimblott & Sons at the Weaver Shipyard at Northwich.

Navy/Rescue 177 Helicopter



The navy rescue helicopter was called out at lunchtime on the 12th of April when a small pleasure craft was reported to be on fire in the Largs Channel.

AMT Discoverer /Red Dolphin

The barge arrived at Fergusons shipbuilder to be converted to a cable layer in Dec 08


The barge was met at Greenock by Red Dolphin who would tow it to its final destination.







Arriving at Gourock the Svitzer tugs handed the tow over to Red Dolphin.
