SS Empress of Scotland

An advert cut from an old magazine .

Empress of Scotland built at the Fairfield shipyard in Govan and launched on the 17 12 1929,she had a few refits in her time and I believe ended up with the one funnel.

Erskine Ferry



The Erskine ferry was established in 1777,connecting Erskine with Old Kilpatrick.
The ferry ceased operation in July 1971 when Princess Anne opened the Erskine bridge.
