Columbus

Columbus was built by MTW Schiffswerft, Wismar, Germany. She was completed for Hapag-Lloyd in 1997, is 14903grt in size, has dimensions 144.0 x 21.5 x 5.1 m, and she has 420 berths. Engines consist of 4 x Wartsila, 10560kW, giving a service speed of 18.5 knots.

Wonderful set of photos Gerry, and especially with that dramatic backdrop of the cloud/mist lying over the hills.

I like your shots Gerry, especially the ones with the low clouds, quite different, even though the weather was not so good all day.

She is a very handsome vessel inside, quite plush, but understated, if you know what I mean - a bit of class and quiet elegance.

She will be back at GOT twice in 2009.
